Prädikatsweingut Beate und Erik Weiss

The winery with a sweet core

This is what the winery stands for

The Prädikatsweingut (Prädikat winery estate) Weiss is a quality oriented family business. They grow typical Austrian but also international grape varieties on an area of approx. eight hectares.

In 1993, Prädikatsweingut Weiss was one of the first wineries to switch to biological farming. Family Weiss works in harmony with nature and achieves highest quality through gentle agriculture. They completely abstain from chemical, synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

Due to the microclimate of the region, Beate and Erik Weiss chose the production of sweet wines as their special focus.
A reliable quality of the wines as well as a fair value for money are very important to them.

  • Sparkling wines: Secco, Rosecco, George Peach
  • White wines: Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay Classic, Gelber Muskateller, Muskat Ottonel
  • Red wines: Zweigelt, Zweigelt Exklusiv, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Grand Cardinal, Hannes, Caliber
  • Sweet wines: Spätlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese, Ausbruch, Trockenbeerenauslese, ice wine

Beate and Erik Weiss offer tours through the vineyards – either by foot or by bike.
And they have an orchard with approx one hectare, where they grow cherries and pears. The fruits are processed to naturally cloudy bio juices and are available either pure or in combination with grapes.
