Der Allacher

Wine in a melodical flow...

How it all started

Around 1955, Paul Allacher founded the winery, which was taken over by his son Georg and his wife in 1975. They brought the winery on a successful track, which was confirmed by national and international awards repeatedly.

Today, Gerald Allacher represents the third generation of this family business. Like his grandfather, he’s a lateral entrant. So it’s kind of a tradition, which gives the family an unconventional and unladen view to winemaking. This possibly gives more room innovative ideas, too.

This is what the winery stands for today

Today, the winery Allacher manages approx 15 hectares of vineyards, of which 60% are planted with red vines and 40% with white vines. The love and enthusiasm for winemaking as well as the strong solidarity of the family contribute to the consistent quality of the wines.
The Allachers put great importance on vineyard management close to nature and on gentle processing of the grapes. Working with nature’s products does not only create great satisfaction, it also comes with a certain responsibility.
Gerald Allacher also plays the drums since he’s 13. So when he’s working, you often see and hear him drum in the rhythm of the machines. At Allacher’s, wines are made in a melodic flow, so to say...

The wines of the Allacher family are no mass products. This is why each grape variety can take the time it needs.
  • Rosé: Rosé from Cabernet-Merlot
  • White wines: Sommerwein (summer wine), Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Chardonnay, Chardonnay Barrique
  • Red wines: Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch, Shiraz, Merlot, Blauburgunder, Cuvée Royal, Cuvée, Blaufränkisch Barrique, Shiraz Barrique, Carpe Diem Reserve
  • Sweet wines: Chardonnay semi-dry, Grüner Veltliner ice wine, Goldburger Trockenbeerenauslese
At Allacher’s you can also find some rarities from vintage 1963 to current years.
