AMSEE Pirker - Preisinger

Love for wine and indulgence

How it all started

Franz Pirker was a Manager for many years, but there was a growing desire to change in some way or the other. And suddenly, there was this moment and he turned his passion into profession. Together with his old friend Helmut Preisinger, he founded the winery AMSEE in summer 2012.

The name AMSEE comes from a vineyard that reaches lake Neusiedl. And the logo emphasises Franz Pirker’s and Helmut Preisinger’s enthusiasm for sailing.

This is what the winery stands for

AMSEE produces wines with a characteristic fruit. Only selected sites with compatible grape varieties are used, because the two components have to fit in order to achieve the desired character.
The sites and limited quantities are the foundation for AMSEE wines. The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully checked and selected. Processing takes place with full care and attention. The maceration and the use of cooling methods before fermentation depend on the grape variety.
During maturation, wood resp Barrique is only used when it supports the wine. The fruit and the typical taste are always first priority.

  • Sparkling wine: Deux Montagnes
  • White wine: Chardonnay
  • Red wines: Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon
A brandy from Muskat Ottonel grapes completes the range of products.
